System Maintenance Sunday May 18th
On Sunday, May 18th from 8:00 a.m. to noon Central time, NDSU is performing system maintenance that will make access to EduTech’s databases unavailable. This means many of the applications such as the training database, building facilitator tools, training dashboard, user resources, etc. will not be available during this time.
Reading, sending and receiving e-mail will not be affected.

TSW State License to Expire August 2008
The current state-wide license for Technology Solutions that Work (TSW) sponsored by EduTech during the last three years is due to expire the end of August. If you are planning to use TSW resources for curriculum and education technology planning in the upcoming months, we ask that you keep this timeline in mind.

Participate in EduTech’s First Annual North Dakota “Teacher Favorites” Survey
This online survey will help EduTech gain valuable feedback for videoconference programs used by K-12 schools during the 2007–2008 school year. Responses given will provide useful information about the various types of programming and content providers schools across the state are using and to improve planning and implementation.
Complete the online Teacher Favorites Survey by Wednesday, May 14th.
Survey results will be shared through EduTech’s website and the various North Dakota education e-mail lists mid May.

Social Studies Teachers Grades 4–12 Register Now!
The 2008 Summer Teachers’ Institute, Keepers of the Land, will be held at the Turtle Mountain Outdoor Learning Center, Lake Metigoshe State Park, June 16–18, 2008. Institute activities will align to portions of the North Dakota Studies Curriculum.
Nationally recognized storyteller Michael Caduto, author of the “Keepers of the Earth” books will be one of the institute presenters. Caduto will do an afternoon workshop of stories, activities and stewardship ideas that are focused on trees and other plants. For an entertaining evening program he will present an inspiring program of stories, music and a group circle dance.
