Blackboard
EduTech, in cooperation with NDSU, offers access to the Blackboard, a web-based course building and online learning environment. This software enables instructors to present course content, instructional materials and assessments to their students on the web.
You need no programming skills to set up a course! Many NDSU faculty and K-12 educators are already using Blackboard to enhance both the traditional classroom and to provide a cohesive distance learning environment.
Who May Request Blackboard Service
All EduTech users may request Blackboard accounts by logging into User Resources and selecting the Blackboard service (detailed steps may be found below). Furthermore, educators may request coursespace on the Blackboard server by filling out the Blackboard Course Request form.
Requesting Blackboard Accounts
All K-12 users who wish to create or participate in Blackboard courses must have active EduTech accounts.
If you do not have an EduTech account. You must enroll for one before Blackboard service can be offered.
If you already have an EduTech account and wish to participate in Blackboard:
- Log into the User Resources section of the EduTech website.
- Click on the "Blackboard" link under "Available Services". Click on the button labeled "Request Blackboard Service" to verify you wish to proceed.
- Click "Continue" to complete the request. Your Blackboard account will be ready within one business day.
Account requests are processsed during regular business hours. When your account is completed, login information will be e-mailed to your EduTech e-mail address.
Accessing Blackboard
Students and faculty may access the Blackboard system at http://bb.edutech.nodak.edu. This site contains additional information as well as student and instructor resources.
Requesting a Course
All instructors at EduTech member schools are welcome to develop Blackboard courses. The EduTech Help Desk will create a course framework upon receiving a course request via the online course request form.
