K-12 Videoconference Support Transition Continues
As of July 1, support for K-12 video has transferred from IVN to ITD. ITD will now be responsible for providing videoconferencing services for K-12 schools and state agencies / political subdivisions. IVN will continue to provide videoconferencing and other related services for higher education in the state, including the North Dakota University System, the North Dakota Tribal Colleges and the NDSU Extension Service.
ITD has direct responsibility for providing network services to K-12 and state agencies and now videoconferencing will fall under ITD's purview. Support calls will be streamlined for K-12 video users and K-12 users will have more direct control of their own videoconference scheduling. ITD, IVN, ETC and EduTech will work to make the transition as smooth as possible.

K-12 Videoconference Scheduling Software Training
Two training sessions were held in July to train users on the new Renovo videoconference scheduling software purchased by ITD. Approximately 45 participants representing K-12 consortia, schools and state agencies attended the trainings. Additional trainings will be offered in the fall for those unable to attend the summer trainings. If you are a K-12 videoconference consortium director, site scheduler or district/building level tech coordinator, you are encouraged to participate in the scheduling training. Contact Tim Hagen or Barry Stein at the numbers above to schedule a training date.
